Yard Sale Finds

I hit the jackpot on Saturday at the Lick Creek community yard sales. I was able to score. 6 old doors, 10 old windows, a bike, brass bed, 2 chicken feeders, plus my all time fave a very old fireplace mantel. I have already started stripping the layers of paint off of it. It has a beautiful wood finish under all that paint. I don't plan on sell that but I do the rest of my finds. The doors with the glass I will replace with mirrors and make hall trees' out of them. The solid doors will be either toddler beds or benches. I don't know what I will do with the chicken feeders. Send me your idea's please. The bike I will also keep and will use it at the new antique store I am going to open sometime with in the next 6 months to a year. It would be open now but there are a lot of hoops that he seller is having to go through in order to sell it. I plan on planting flowers on the front side of the store and using the bike there.
I want to also share some trash to treasure items from one of the dealer's at Whitecotton. I just love her booth. She has made a hall tree with an old door, and corner shelf out of an old solid door plus I don't know if you can see the picture on the wall with the quilt in it there are some sewing items attached to it. You could add anything to that or just leave it plain.
There is an estate sale this Friday that I hope to get more good stuff. If not oh well, the 127 yard sale is getting closer, I know I will get some good stuff then.
Well until next time. Have a GREAT day!
