Welcome to my blog. I have wanted to do this for sometime but just never had the time, today I made time.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Rick, for 24 years. We live on the family farm in beautiful Southern Illinois. We own a trucking company, which I run. After 20 years in the medical office field I was able to quite and stay home, so that I could do that. We also farm around 1000 acre's for soybeans, corn and hay. We also have about 20 head of cows. We are the proud parent's of three children. Kyle 22, Hannah 18, and Tyler 16. Hannah just graduated high school and will start at Shawnee College next week, where she will play softball. She also plays on a travel softball team during the summer. So she and I are gone alot. Kyle lives down the road from us but drop's by once in a while. Tyler will be a Junior at Goreville High School in the fall, where he is active with the FFA. He also works for us around the farm. We have two dog's, Macy a silky terrier and Cricket a Yorkie.

I love to scrapbook, quilt, yard sale and go to auctions. My big passion is antiques. I have two booth's at two area antique malls, Whitecotton and Wolf Creek. I so have one in the works, just waiting on real estate office to get all the paper work done.

I love to turn trash into treasure, by doing this it saves it from going into the trash.

My Friend Anna and I go to the 127 yard sale, this will be our 4th year. We start planning for our trip in February. This is something we look forward to every year. We always come home with some great stuff to resell. The picture at the top is some of the items I purchased last year at the yard sale. Well I have done it, posted my first blog.
