Spring Cleaning a Hoaders House

With this being the first day of spring I was thinking now would be a good time to show you a few pictures of items I have picked up. I have been helping a friend off and on for the last few months to clean out her aunt's home. Her aunt has been a hoarder for sometime. Out of respect for this person I did not take pictures of her home. Let me just say OMG! This is not only her house but a guest house and a garage. In the garage it is floor to ceiling puzzles along one wall. I have never seen so many puzzles in my life. Not to mention box after box of just stuff, plus empty boxes. Stacks of newspaper.
When I was introduced to the guest house it was even worse. You could barely open the door. I have no clue yet what we will find there.
We have started with the house. There has been 2 walk in trash dumpsters filled. The house in much better shape now and you can actually see the floor. The pictures I have here is just a few of the item I have cleaned and priced so far.
One thing that I did find which I find funny is a book on managing clutter.
Some of the items that were in the post about my auction were also items from this house.
We have not found any signs of spiders or mice which is ok by me. I will share more when I get more cleaned and ready to price.

  1. Hey Chickie Pooh....

My Granny had those "number" glasses. I'm sure they were thrown away when she died. Either that or they were given away and shipped to where ever and you found them!! : )

Loving the Tea Pot's. I've recently switched to tea and I use a tea pot everyday. Mine is small. I've love to see that big brown one on the left side up close. Maybe I'd like to see them all up close. wink

The keys look fun too. Are there some old ones in there?
