As I reflect back on 2009, I think about all the ups and downs, happiness, and sorrow we have experienced this past year. The year started out with sorrow. We lost our beloved Yorkie-poo Chloe to a coyote. We had her for almost 3 years, she was soooo smart. I miss her every day. We added a new added to the family soon after that with a Yorkie I named Cricket. Cricket was my nickname as a child, my dad gave me that name, funny I have never asked my mom how he came up with that. February I had surgery and was off for 6 weeks. (nothing major). After returning to work my DH and I decided that I needed to be home to run our trucking company full time. After working in the medical office field for 21 years it was time for a change. So I have been home ever since. Let me just say this, we all dream about all the time we will have when we do not work outside the home. My dream was to clean my house from top to bottom and keep it that way. I would have time to quilt, scrapbook and have more time to devote to my antique booths. It will be a year in April and I can tell you that it has not happened yet. LOL. Maybe someday. April brought rain, May brought rain, and part or June brought rain. So farming was way behind. We did manage to get everything planted. We had a good summer, I spent much of my time going with Hannah to softball games. I planted a small garden, and a few flowers.
Fall came and harvest started with you guessed it rain, rain and more rain. We finished the first of November. December has come and gone. The tree is put away, but still have lights up outside. It is to cold for me right now to take them down. LOL
DH and I put money down on some property that we wanted to turn into an auction house/antique store. To date we still do not have it, still has some legal issues. We are not sure we will end up with it. So in the mean time I have started looking for something else. I would have loved to show you the progress but maybe I can on something else.
I am most thankful that we all have our health, and we are employed and that are children are doing good. I hope that 2010 is better than 2009. Heath wise anyway.
