Friday night out with Mom
Last night my mother and I went to see the "Church Basement Ladies" Featuring William Christopher AKA "Father Mulcahy" from M*A*S*H. It was the BEST play I have ever been to. It is based in 1964 about 4 church ladies and the things that go on while cooking in the church basement. If you ever get a chance to see this production by all means go. Sorry I could not take pictures, they were not allowed.

Farming, and Rain
Farming started to get into full swing here last week and now has come to a halt because of rain and more rain to come. We did manage to get the FFA beans cut. This is the first year they have had a crop. The field did well I am sure the FFA will be please. They are having an antique tractor show coming up in the 17th. Tyler is very active in the FFA, so this has been some new things for them to do for fund raisers.
As many of you know Rick and I have been trying to buy 2 buildings in Goreville. As you remember this has been going on since April. We were to have signed the papers on Sept 30. Well that did not happen. I had to get an attorney to find out what the hold up is and to try and get this done. In the mean time I am in the process of trying to find somewhere to have an auction. The building we are storing the items in is over fulling.
I will keep you posted. Have a good week. Lisa

I'm still alive
It has been awhile since my last post, I have had a lot going on. Such as my birthday, Daughter moving out, DOT audit, trying to keep antique booth's filled, and dealing with the building.
My birthday was on Labor day, I enjoyed a day of peace and quite. What else could one ask for. Hannah moved closer to school on Sunday. She was not liking the 35 min. one way drive to school everyday. So she moved in with some of her softball teammates. Her and her boyfriend Dakota broke up over Labor Day weekend. Yes he is the same one who was gone all summer to boot camp. She was heart broken. I don't blame her. Had a DOT audit for our trucking company last week. It was just to make sure we are doing things way the Federal Government wants us to do thing. Everything was good and learned a lot. Things in my antique booth's have been selling very well. I guess I brought back some wonderful items from the 127 yard sale. Last but not least we have been give a tentative closing date for our building for Sept. 30,2009. I just hope it happens. I need to have a couple of auctions there.
Harvest season will be starting within the next week. That will be some long days and nights around here. I love Spring when the ground is broke open for planting and Fall for the colors and the hum of Combines. Fall is coming early here in Southern Illinois, the crops are being harvested a little early and the leaves are changing colors fast. Seems to be going on all around the country as well. Enjoy the Fall colors. Lisa

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER
Friday, August 21, 2009
AS some of you know my husband and I have been trying to buy 2 buildings, and this has been going on since April. Just to fill everyone in we are having some trouble getting that done. The seller agreed to the purchase price and signed the contract, The trouble is there are liens on the property, so an attorney has had to be brought into all this. The attorney has now let one of the lien holds take procession of the buildings. So we got an attorney to protect us as we had a contract. Which I have found out these days a contract is not what it use to mean. As of yesterday we have found out the the lien holder has agreed to sell us the property, that is unless there another lien that was not found in the first title search. Which I hope there is not any more liens. This has been one very large nightmare. I will keep you posted.
